This is an old and rather large Chinese ginger jar that has been converted into a table lamp. Against a pale yellow background multi-colored flower blooms have been painted, along with bees and butterflies.

A reign mark from Emperor Qianlong, who ruled China from 1736 - 1795,  appears on the base of the jar, but we believe this jar was actually made early to mid 20th century.

The jar measures just over 12" high x 8.5" wide. The light fixture adds another 5" to the height. (The fixture is for a three-way bulb. A lamp harp and shade need to be added.
