Ground goat's foot

The ground hawkweed or also called groundweed. Goat's foot, the so-called Giersch, occurs on roadsides and in cottage gardens. The goatwort spreads quickly and is very persistent. The goose foot is collected and then air dried and ground as needed.

Hussockwort is rich in potassium, iron, vitamin C and carotene.

Goat's foot is traditionally used as an herbal tea. For goat's foot tea, add 1-2 teaspoons of goat's foot to 500 ml of hot water and let it steep for 10 minutes. Goat's foot tea mixes well with daisy, nettle, or chamomile.

In the kitchen, goat's foot gives raw salads and vegetable dishes a certain wild, spicy note. The taste is reminiscent of parsley.
