Birds of Australia by Clifford and Dawn Frith
 
Featuring the amazing photography of Clifford and Dawn Frith. Clifford and Dawn met on the remote Aldabra Atoll in the western Indian Ocean, while working as zoologists for a year. They spent the following four years on Phuket Island, Thailand, studying animal ecology and biology. Now living in the upland rainforest of the Australian Wet Tropics, they have spent over four decades as independent Australasian research zoologists – Dawn with a Doctorate in Marine Biology and Clifford’s in Ornithology. 
 
Between them, they have written numerous papers for scientific journals and authored and published a dozen books, many of which are illustrated with their own photography. They study tropical birds and have a special interest in bowerbirds and birds of paradise. The pair have published prolifically about these birds, including four major books.
