Up for sale here is this complete recap kit for the Marantz 2230.  This contains new capacitors for all the boards, including the tuner boards, and includes replacements for the three main capacitors and a new capacitor clamp as well.  Each board's parts are in a separate bag for ease of installation.  Replacement transistors and diodes are included for the non-tuner boards.  If you need replacement output transistors, the correct replacements are MJ21196G, available here.  If you replace any outputs, you should replace both outputs on that channel.

Specifically, this kit includes:
3 main capacitors (Nichicon 6800 uf 80v and Epcos 3300 uf 100v)
1 new capacitor clamp (to replace the largest cap--you will need to reuse or provide your own nut/screw)
1 new capacitor for the tuning meter

P150 AM board:
12 capacitors

P300 MPX board:
17 capacitors (3 Wima film)

P400 Preamp board:
13 capacitors (10 Wima film)
8 transistors

P500 FM board:
6 capacitors

P550 muting control board:
2 capacitors

P700 phono EQ board:
6 capacitors
6 transistors
2 diodes
1 double diode (two 1N4148 in series)

P750 amplifier boards:
12 capacitors (2 Wima film)
6 transistors

P800 Power Supply Board kit:
5 capacitors
2 diodes
1 transistor

Capacitors in this kit are Nichicon LS & Epcos (3 main caps), Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, and Wima film capacitors, of the same uf (capacitance) and the same or improved voltage ratings.  The filter capacitors go up in capacitance, which will improve the sound.  Transistors are the appropriate Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors.  The diodes are the appropriate subs for the originals and are made by Onsemi or a similar company.  These are all extremely high-quality parts and are the same parts I use when I rebuild Marantz gear.  I have rebuilt at least a half-dozen Marantz 2230s in the last few years.

I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction set, but this is a fairly complicated rebuild, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, a decent desoldering iron, and a dim-bulb tester.

US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $28.  If you have any questions, please ask.
