This will come wired up, just plug into your plotter's NMEA socket 

and connect to power, 12/24 Volts using the included red and black wires

You have to connect to power as there is no voltage supply at your NMEA socket

Use the 2 x output wires to send data / position to your DSC / VHF radio or other chartplotter
