Hey there, you are bidding on two used Stephen King paperbacks, The Shining, and Carrie.

The Shining is fairly new, 2001, while Carrie is a vintage edition, made sometime after the film came out with Sisy Spacek on the cover. The Carrie has some wear from it being likely from around 1977 or so.

The Shining goes without saying, but,

Synopsis

"YOU'RE THE CARETAKER, SIR. YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN THE CARETAKER. I SHOULD KNOW, SIR. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN HERE...." -- DELBERT GRADY OF THE OVERLOOK HOTEL THE SHINING First published in 1977, "The Shining" quickly became a benchmark in the literary career of Stephen King. This tale of a troubled man hired to care for a remote mountain resort over the winter, his loyal wife, and their uniquely gifted son slowly but steadily unfolds as secrets from the Overlook Hotel's past are revealed, and the hotel itself attempts to laim the very souls of the Torrence family. Adapted into a cinematic masterpiece of horror by legendaryStanley Kubrick -- featuring an unforgettable performance by a demonic Jack Nicholson --"The Shining" stands as a cultural icon of modern horror, a searing study of a family torn apart, and a nightmarish glimpse into the dark recesses of human weakness and dementia.

Past horrors and evil lurk in Colorado's Overlook Hotel, threatening winter season caretakers Jack Torrance, his wife Wendy, and their young son, Danny. Gifted with the shining, a clairvoyant Danny must battle the darkest evil in the remote hotel in an attempt to save his family from its influence.

The Overlook Hotel is more than just a home-away-from-home for the Torrance family. For Jack, Wendy, and their young son, Danny, it is a place where past horrors come to life. And where those gifted with the shining do battle with the darkest evils. Stephen King's classic thriller is one of the most powerfully imagined novels of our time.

Now I know why ebay sellers can seem like a bitter lot. Thanks to some “buyers” who have reneged on their ebay obligation of paying for the things they bid on, I need to make clear that I am in Canada, and we sometimes have some of the most expensive shipping rates in the world.

This is the link to the Canada post shipping site.

http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/far/business/findarate?execution=e1s1

My postal code is L4P 2R1

From there, along with the dimensions that I always include with my auctions, you can determine for yourself the cheapest method of shipping, or see that I always pick the cheapest option as a default unless asked otherwise, and am above-board on all my dealings.

In 15 years as an ebay member, I have one negative feedback from a cowardly “buyer” who won one of my auctions, then utterly ignored me, my invoice, and the ebay resolution centre, I suppose in hopes I would just “go away”, after he saw how much the shipping was. If he had just asked me, I would have done my best to accommodate him. But he was a weasel.

99.9% of buyers are great folks, and I would love to deal with you again and again. However, if you have any doubts about shipping, see for yourself at the Canada post website, and if you don’t like the shipping rates you see, please don’t bid.
