The latest mastering of the fifth Beethoven complete collection completed by Takashi Asahina with the Osaka Philharmonic from 1991 to 1992. At this time, the maestro was in his early 80s, when he was most fulfilled both physically and mentally, and his simple, robust and enthusiastic appearance is recorded here. Asahina is rarely combined with live and session (studio live), and it is a straightforward and straightforward music that is born from heavy waist and bold writing method, and many fans consider this complete collection to be the highest peak of Asahina. It is full of charm such as performance commentary by Mr. Noriyoshi Uno at the time of the first appearance, a valuable long time interview, and 2020 new mastering by Tomoyoshi Esaki. The first release will be Canyon Classics, which will be the long-awaited re-release for the first time in about 30 years.

This recording is the 5th total collection of Asahina following the 4th fontec board recorded from 1988-89, and the annual "9th Symphony Evening" (December 29, 1991) 200th ninth) and "The Best of Beethoven" as part of the live series of four consecutive series in 1992 for four months starting in March 1992 (with the audience called "Recording Concert" In addition to (publicly recorded in form), the remaining 6 songs recorded in the studio at the Osaka Philharmonic Hall have been added as a set. This performance recorded by Asahina from 83 years old to 84 years old is lively, and the movement is also dynamic because it is still physically strong, and the scale is large. It is a feature. Asahina himself has performed all the repetitions faithfully to the score, and I feel a sincere attitude and a desire to leave something better. Also, many of the studio recordings and high technical perfection are characteristic of this complete collection.

This reprint is the first time in 30 years, and the progress in recording technology during that time is remarkable. In particular, the mastering technology has made it possible to reproduce even better sound quality, even for digital recordings that were not high resolution. In consideration of the original specifications of the master, this sound source will be reissued as a completed CD.
