PARTS IDENTIFICATION
Part numbers found on the part are often "production numbers" and are not always the same as the spare part catalogue numbers. This can be very confusing. Rubber hoses often have this, a production number stencilled on them which is not the same as the number in the parts catalogue.
Opel also have part number system for the same thing, usually seven digits, this is in addition to the GM/Vauxhall number which often but not always starts 90..
Which side is which?
The terms Offside and Nearside often used in the UK can be confusing; the car manufacturers use Left and Right . L/H and R/H sides of the car are seen as you sit in it, i.e L/H is passenger/nearside (in UK) and R/H is driver/offside. Vauxhall/Opel parts are often marked R or L to avoid confusion

25E & 30E 2.5/3.0-litre 12-valve straight six engine; early Monza, Senator A to 1987. Early cars Bosch L injection (grey injectors, later cars Bosch LE (yellow injectors).
25NE 2.5-litre 12-valve straight six engine without catalytic converter; early Senator B to about 1990
30NE 3.0-litre 12-valve straight six engine without catalytic converter; early Senator B and Carlton to about 1990
C30NE 3.0-litre 12-valve straight six engine with catalytic converter; Carlton, Senator B
C26NE 2.6-litre 12-valve straight six engine with Dual Ram induction system and catalytic converter; Carlton, Senator B
C30SE 3.0-litre 24-valve straight six engine with Dual Ram induction system and catalytic converter; Carlton, Senator B
X25XE, X30XE 2.5 and 3.0-litre V6 engine used in Omega, Calibra, Vectra, Sintra etc.
