Most bulbs that are purchased today including Key Rings and Torches say they are black light but in fact are 395-400nm Purple Bulbs.

You can tell the difference between a purple bulb and a True Black Light bulb.

The 395-400 Cheaper bulb gives off a purpleish hue. You've seen it at Halloween when everything including your face is purple yet you want to see the Neon Black Light Paint glow.

These are LED 365nm Bulbs can be used outside as long as you have suitable waterproof fittings.

A True 365 Black light bulb gives off BLACK LIGHT, yes it does exist :).
