The Stamp Act- The Stamp Act was a tax imposed on the American Colonies by the British Government to provide protection to the Colonies. This tax, payable in silver or gold coins was required on all paper items and other goods. The die in this case has the stamp still visible. 
Mother of Pearl gaming piece . The kissing birds mock armorial on one side , scales on the other side.
