WOW! Where do I begin?! Here we have a SUPERB, HUGE oil on board painting. The photo's don't do this justice whatsoever, this really is a fantastic piece of abstract art which is certainly open to interpretation! It's mesmerising, to me it looks like an eyeball, it also has the look of an Aztec cave painting/mural and it's also like a mosaic or the sort of image you'd see through a kaleidoscope. It's outstanding, especially given it's enormous size. It measures an impressive 49 inches by 41 inches to the edge of the frame so 4 ft 1 by 3 ft 5 weighing approximately 7kg's!! This is signed and dated by the artist PA Walker, 66 (1966), I am not familiar with this artist but to me it's irrelevant. I am not an art expert by any stretch of the imagination but I know a good thing when I see it, and this really is impressive, in the right location or setting it would really set the room apart from any other. If I had the space I would keep this for myself. I think the artist has used a mixture of oil paint and acrylic. The colours and detail are impressive - perfect for the mid century inspired home.
