1820 VELLUM MANUSCRIPTS ORDINATION BISHOP OF NORWICH OF REV. CHRISTOPHER THURGAR

Two original antique vellum manuscripts each signed Henry ( Bathurst Bishop of ) Norwich.

The first dated 15th October 1820 ordaining Christopher Thurgar as Deacon.  The second dated 3 March 1822 ordaining the same as Priest.

Each with the Bishop's seal attached.

Found in an old envelope with some biographical detail written on,  together with an old Victorian mounted photograph.

Good condition with age marks to the manuscripts,  losses to the envelope.

For size comparison the larger 1822 manuscript is 28.7cm x 18.8cm (excluding the seal).

These are scarce and rarely come up for sale.
