It’s a collection of short stories, photographs, and articles describing my experiences with the animals of our northern forests. It is written with the intention of entertaining and informing in such a manner as to leave readers thoughtful, with a smile in their heart and maybe a chuckle or two. There are stories of the animals, the people and the splendor of the seasons in Northern Michigan and the North Woods. The stories include the bear who came for lunch, a walk in the starlit woods, cabin fever, a little dog lost and more. The book was featured on Discovering with Buck LaVasseur, a widely viewed outdoor television program. It is presently in its third printing.
