Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Pioneer SX-727. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Pioneer SX-727 power supply board, protection board, amplifier board, phono EQ board, preamp board, and tuner board, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors and a new relay. This does not include new lights, fuses, or output transistors. The correct replacement output transistors are two MJ21195G (replaces 2SA649) and two MJ21196G (replaces 2SD323/2SD388), available here. Please do not buy any of the fake Chinese output transistors listed on eBay--these are counterfeit and may damage your receiver.

This kit includes the following:

Power Supply Board:
5 capacitors
6 diodes
3 transistors
1 resistor
2 heat-sinks w/hardware

Protection Board:
6 capacitors
8 transistors
9 diodes (including one for the diode mod)

Amplifier Board:
6 capacitors
4 transistors
4 trimmers

Phono EQ Board:
7 capacitors
6 transistors

Preamp Board:
14 capacitors
4 transistors

Tuner board:
19 capacitors

3 new main capacitors (same diameter as the old caps so they will fit the clamps, upgraded uf/voltage rating)
3 other capacitors (for misc locations under-chassis)
Relay w/standoffs
Instructions

The kit for each board is bagged individually to make things easier.

These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The main capacitors are Nippon Chemi-Con 10000 uf 80v capacitors and one 1500 uf 100v Epcos cap, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KT, Nichicon KL, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors, the relay is a new Omron relay, and the trimmers are new Bourns trimmers. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment.

I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. Please see my pictures for details.

US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask.
