The bolt is a carriage bolt that seats in square hole in the jaw, allowing one-handed tightening from the top. More convenient.
Not included: motor mount, crossbar or anything else.
Very strong and corrosion resistant.
These work by clamping the crossbar of your motor mount or other accessory down to the gunwales. One end of the jaw slips under the lip of your canoe or boat gunwale and the other end bears on the crossbar itself.
Bolts are 3/8" x 3" carriage bolts, 16 threads per inch. Very standard bolt. If you want longer, you can get them at the hardware store and they will be compatible.
