A small tree-like plant that can grow to 7 meters with a cylindrical trunk. 

The bark is brown - grey-brown and the flowers are white. Flowers form on a long spike above a bare section. 

Perennial tree-like monocot. Flowers June or August - December. 

Attracts birds and bees.

Initially slow growing. 

Seeds may take 4-52 weeks to germinate. No special treatment is required.
