Founded in 1853, Ramirez established the first fish cannery in Portugal in the same year, in Vila Real de Santo António (Algarve). Today it's the oldest fish cannery in the world still in operation. Ramirez has a wide range of products, including tuna, sardines, mackerel, squid, cod, anchovy, mussels, and octopus.
