Niall Quinn promised Sunderland fans a magic carpet ride when he took over the reins of Sunderland in the summer of 2006. the season certainly proved to be fairytale stuff for the Black Cats who gave the rest of the Championship a head start by losing their first four league games before going out of the Carling Cup at the hands of the football league's bottom team... and then roared back to win promotion to the Premier League! How did that happen? This official SAFC DVD tells you how. The appointment of the legendary Roy Keane to his first managerial role created a red and white 'Roy-volution' at the Stadium of Light. Half a dozen players including Dwight Yorke, Graham Kavanagh and David Connoly joined in the 48 hours Keane had before the transfer window slammed shut and when it reopened in January another half dozen including wonder winger Carlos Edwards and on Ioan Man Utd duo Jonny Evans and Danny Simpson came in to further boost the squad. In the meantime Roy Keane was establishing another key team behind the scenes and reinventing players like Nyron Nosworthy and Danny Collins whose stature and value to the team typified the spirit town by every player to don the red and white stripes.
