Listing for one antique cast iron with copper plate (bronze plate?) finish. Fleur de Lis design on this Escutcheon by Mallory Wheeler matches their knob H-24400 C:1885. Stamped on back what looks to be G2086, see pictures maybe you can make it out better. In good condition. Despite being well over 125 years old the relief is still deep and sharp the plating, however, is long gone. Originally had brass plating on the raised areas with black enamel in the recessed portion. Use pictures to verify condition). Since they are cast iron they have been given a clear coat to help protect against wear and rust.
Please remember that these are old pieces, many coming from homes 80 to 120 years old so they will NEVER EVER be perfect and will always show some evidence of natural wear.
