Gelber Kempe Brahms Piano Concerto No.1 & 2 2 SACD Hybrid TOWER RECORDS JAPAN

Product introduction

Brahms, who is full of talent by young Gerber, is the world's first SACD. The masterpiece dignity No. 1 and the highly complete No. 2 with Kempe are reprinted from the original analog master tape of the home country. With new commentary

The latest reproduction of Bruno Leonardo Gerber's (1941-) debut album No. 1 recorded in 1965 and No. 2 recorded under the direction of Kempe in 1973. The world's first SACD sound source. Brahms' performance, which has won sensational success in the West in the 1960s and is still famous, is still highly regarded. It is a masterpiece located on the rightmost wing among these songs with many masterpieces. The brilliant and stately piano and the profound sound of the orchestra have become even more valuable with the introduction of SACD. Aiming for the highest sound quality in the current situation, the SACD layer and CD layer are mastered separately using a master digitized at 192kHz / 24bit from the original analog master tape in the home country. With new commentary. It is a permanent storage board.

Gerber was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1941, and studied under the same teacher as Argerich, who was born in the same place in the same year. He studied abroad in Paris at the age of 19 and became one of France's leading pianists in the first half of the 20th century, Margarit Ron (1874-1966), who described him as "my last and best student." It was a great talent. This first recording is a recording of the time when we won sensational success in Europe and the United States. Even though he was only 24 years old, he was surprised at the time when he was surprised by the profound sound, flexible touch, and energetic performance that are indispensable for this song. The stately piano is overwhelming even now. This recording won the 1966 "French ADF Disc Award". Even the current newcomers can play so far, and the second recording with Kempe eight years later has almost the same image. Especially in No. 2, Kempe's reins are wonderful, and I admire the piano full of passion and romance. It was a pity that both recordings haven't recurred so much now. In this reprint, we aimed for the highest sound quality in the current situation. With high sound quality, you can enjoy these rare masterpieces in every detail.

This time, we are doing the latest mastering from the original 2Ch analog master tape in our home country using a flat master digitized at 192kHz / 24bit. The master was generally in good balance and had little aging. Therefore, I emphasized the original balance as much as possible and tried to master from a musical point of view. As a result, the visibility of the distance and depth of the instrument is improved, and the localization is improved so that you can enjoy the best performance without stress. For the jacket design, we adopted the one of the two-song set released in the UK when No. 2 came out, and posted a new sentence by Mr. Kozo Asari in the manual.

In this series, the SACD layer aims for a high resolution and rich sound field with a long high range and soft nuances, and the CD layer aims for a realistic tone that is extruded with a cohesive and solid sound. The potential of the CD itself is high, and you can enjoy it as a SACD hybrid disc where you can enjoy the goodness of both.
