Description

An impressive Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase by George Tinworth decorated in characteristic style with a scrolling leaf and floral design. This is a striking piece standing on a rounded foot with an intriguing body shape. To the base of the vase is the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark with the impressed date - 1876 - also present is the incised mark for assistant artist Emma Martin who often worked with Tinworth on many of his early pieces. To the main body is the GT monogram of George Tinworth. A superb vase that would sit well in any quality Doulton Lambeth collection.
