For auction is a gorgeous set of 4 porcelain coffee cans and saucers, "possibly by the John
Rose Coalport factory, circa 1810. (A kind person gave me this
information):The shapes are very typical of the tea wares being produced
at that time and are depicted in the book on Coalport by Michael
Messenger." Georgian style. They are all hand painted in a arched gold gilt and centered within are hand painted gold and purple flowers and an art deco style purple flower in between where the arches meet. They are absolutely gorgeous having much gold decoration. Condition: 2 of the cans have a
chip: one a flea bite, the other a chip. The other 2 are good, only
minor wear to the gold on one of them. The cans measure 2-1/2" h x 2-1/2" diameter. The saucers: 3 saucers are in very nice condition for their age and one saucer has several areas of wear to the gold around the rim. They measure 5-1/4" diameter. NOTE: I have a gorgeous matching teapot, a pair of coffee cups and saucers, and a bowl that all go with this set if you are interested in adding to it. Please see my listings for these other matching pieces. Thank you for taking the time to view this auction.
