HOW TO USE OEM:
OEM stands for Original Engine Manufacturer. This refers to the brand/company that made the vehicle, and the numbers they use for their records.
To see if the part fits; Using your favourite search engine (Google / Yahoo etc) type the company you are searching, then copy the OEM provided in the listing / manual / reference you are looking at.
[ For example: HONDA 53141-300-010 ]
Search for this, and the top results will provide the closest match to you input, and you can follow the links to part information.
You can also use "Image Search" to do this and see available pictures which, when you follow the link to the original site, will often have the information you are looking for.
Partzilla / CMSNL / First Class & many more large web pages that are likely to appear at the top of your search, will provide cross references for fitments across the whole brand when you go into the part information, generally toward the bottom of the individual part page.
Please note that OEM does NOT always means the part is new.
NOS stands for "New Old Stock", and refers to the part being new, but does NOT mean it is a genuine brand part.
**This information applies not just to our listings or motorbike manufacturers, but to a majority of vehicles and other products**
