OUR TAKE

Established as late as 1976, Raymond Weil was entering the Swiss watch market at an innovative time and could only survive by being on top of their game and making a name for themselves, which they clearly did. The Geneve 5717 was an early model produced in the 1980s. The 18kt electro gold plated oval case measures a mere 16mm in diameter and 22mm from lug to lug, this is a petite watch so make sure it's suitable. The dial is what sets this watch apart from the rest, but is now slightly aged. It has gold hands, and logo under the noon position are all protected by its mineral crystal which sadly has some scratches on it. The RW quartz movement runs strong and keeps time perfectly. The gold crown is unsigned and in good condition. The back case has the logo and model number #5717, some gold is faded in areas.. A new brown leather strap was fitted and will accommodate a wrist of up to 6.5'' or 16.5cm approximately. The original box and papers are long gone, but it will be accompanied by a gift box. Water-resistance is not guaranteed as this watch is not sealed.
