Antique Cleaver Knife with Carbon Steel Blade & Wood Handle 

This cleaver has the blade forged from the fine carbon steel.  The rat-tail tang is fitted with the handle and secured with the thick brass ferrule to good fitting for durability, strength, and balance.

blade hammered almost evenly on both sides of the blade ( blade not flat or with bumps ) with pitting patina & cracked handle ( last three photos ), blade is not flat but edge is straight, blade structure is good, blade is balanced, & handle structure is good

Maintenance Suggestion:  Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid.  After washing it, wipe the blade and handle completely dry.  Use of electric knife sharpener or dishwasher not recommended.
