This sale is for a D-Link DHP-W311AV Wireless N Mini Starter Kit comprising of:

1 x D-Link DHP-W310AV 500 Wireless N Extender

1 x D-Link DHP-308AV (mini) powerline adapter
2 x Yellow Ethernet cables: (one Ethernet cable is required if using the wireless option, 2 Ethernet cables are required if using as a traditional wired connection).

The adapters are in excellent condition and are supplied in their original box, but do not include an official user guide (simple set up instructions will be provided by us). They work with any broadband provider.

Please note: **this Wi-Fi kit should not be used in a property which has any existing powerline adapters or Wi-Fi adapters in use because this would cause interference**

The two adapters can be used as traditional Ethernet connected powerline adapters or can also be used to create a wireless Wi-Fi hotspot in a particular area of the home which can improve Wi-Fi connection for wireless devices in Wi-Fi blackspot areas (see instructions below): 

Traditional Ethernet Connection Instructions:

Plug the mini DHP-308AV into a wall socket close to the router and connect it to the router via Ethernet cable. Then take the DHP-W310AV to the room you require, plug it into a wall socket and connect it to the LAN socket of the device (Smart TV, TV box, console etc) via the other Ethernet cable. Wait for up to 5 minutes for both adapters to begin to transfer broadband signal.

Wi-Fi Hotspot Instructions:

Plug the mini DHP-308AV into a wall socket close to the router and connect it to the router via Ethernet cable. Then plug the DHP-W310AV into a wall socket in the area of the home that Wi-Fi signal is weakest (remember to note down the Wi-Fi name and password from the back of the larger adapter first). Wait for up to 5 minutes for the adapters to seek each other out and link together. Then sign into the newly created Wi-Fi hotspot by using the Wi-Fi name and password located on the back of the adapter.
