A winters day dream.
Short biography: The painter Carl Kessler attended the Royal Saxon School of Applied Arts in Dresden in 1892/93 and 1998/99. In 1899 he enrolled at the Munich Academy for the nature class of Karl Raupp. since approx. In 1910 he specialized in winter landscapes; some urban landscapes are also known. Kessler is praised in contemporary art criticism as a master of watercolor. His preference was for motifs from the Bavarian Alps, Tyrol and Switzerland. As a member of the Munich artists' cooperative, he regularly exhibited in the Glaspalast.
