The 1944-D Jefferson War Nickel normally shows good eye appeal. The surfaces may appear satin. The value of these coins won’t range too much, and typically sticks around the $0.50 range. These silver wartime nickels are 56% Copper and 35% silver.

The obverse text on the Jefferson Nickel reads “In God We Trust, Liberty, D (Denver Mint)” and the reverse text reads “E Pluribus Unum, Monticello, Five Cents, 5, United States of America.” The obverse of the coin has a bust of President Thomas Jefferson facing the left and the reverse depicts the full Monticello house built by Jefferson.
