Unknown date twisted top loop for hanging, unusual primitive piece. 12 1/2" from top hanging loop to the two bottom,  2 3/8" at the widest point. From the late 1800's to early 1900's. Came from the kitchen area of on old house that was torn down years ago. Some type of jar lifter or oven rack puller for wood cook stoves. Hinged loops operate with ease with inward curved hooks on both sides Made with an angle from the handles to the lifter, grabber end. Review photos for a better description, it is quite different other lifters I have seen. From the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina most likely hand crafted unique piece.
