Here we have an exceptional pair of top quality original antique, French, Charles Casier fire dogs/andirons. I absolutely LOVE these; they are one of the best items I have ever owned. These were made around 1860 by renown Parisian metalsmith Charles Casier. They are made from a gilded bronze (now looks quite brass like) and come fully stamped with intertwined "CC" foundry mark as well as "CH CASIER" - difficult to spot but it is there as shown in the photos. They are absolutely wonderful, in the Rococo style showing ornate scrolled leaves, foliage and flower to the top. They are extremely luxurious and grand and are the perfect accompaniment to any period stately home, castle/fireplace. Each measures approximately 12 inches tall by 10.75 wide by 15 inches deep and weigh over 3kg's combined. These are the only ones on eBay of course so get it or regret it! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Please see my other items where I have a matching fire screen that is listed separately.

Please add me to your favourites list and take a look at my other items as I have hundreds that will be listed daily in the up and coming weeks.

Please Note;

I use new & recycled materials to ensure that your item arrives to you safely. I pack all of my items the best I can which you will see from my feedback. However, as with fragile items there is always a risk, items such as Antiques/Collectables, glass, ceramics, paintings etc are not insured for damage by any of the postal services, with the exception of The Royal Mail. This is why I offer a choice of postage options, so you can choose your preferred postage method. Collection in person is also available on all of my items. In the unfortunate, and unlikely event that something does get damaged or goes missing with the Royal Mail then I will do my very best to assist you in making a claim. I always obtain proof of postage for all of my sent items. Sadly I cannot be held responsible for the postal services poor handling of parcels. Here are a few links regarding Royal Mails compensation policies and how to make a claim if necessary.

International Buyers – Please Note:

Import duties; sometimes there will be a charge, I think this is mainly charged on high value items, this is something that the Government enforces to which I have no control of. I declare the value of the parcel as the price the item sold for plus shipping costs.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
