Advertising Poster Stamp

Poster stamp probably issued around 1925 by Horder's Inc. which was a Chicago based office supply company.
According to an obituary from 1946 on the website findagrave.com:

EDW. Y. HORDER OF STATIONERY FIRM DIES AT 86

Began Business Career Here in 1884

Edward Young Horder, founder of Horder's, Inc., since 1901, one of Chicago's leading stationery and office supplies companies, died last night in his home at 200 Wesley av., Oak Park. He was 86. President of the company until 1941, Mr. Horder afterward was chairman of its executive committee until 1944 when he suffered a heart attack. He made a good recovery despite his age, however, and was preparing to start for his plantation home at Magnolia Springs, Ala., when he became ill.

Came to the United States in 1883.

Mr. Horder, born in Dorsetshire, England, on June 28, 1861, quit school when he was 11 to become a carpenter's apprentice. The United States and its opportunities encouraged him to emigrate to New York in 1883, and he came to Chicago a year later.
He began business here as a newsstand owner on the west side. He became a naturalized citizen in 1888 and a few years later entered the real estate business. When he opened a loop office in 1901, he started a small stationery and magazine store as a sideline.
The sideline grew into one of the nation's best known stationery businesses, with headquarters in the Horder building at Jefferson and Quincy sts. Mr. Horder entered the legal form publishing business when he purchased George E. Cole & Co., now the publishing division of Horder's, Inc., which operates eight retail stores in the loop district and employs more than 400 persons. Son Succeeds Him

When Mr. Horder retired from active direction of the company, his son, Harry G. Horder, succeeded him as president and later took over the chairmanship. His son-in-law, Fred P. Seymour, who married the former Ivy Horder, is vice-president, treasurer, and secretary.
Mr. Horder was a member of the Art Institute, the British Empire association, and Sons of St. George. He was a Mason. Besides his son and his daughter, he leaves nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. His wife, Ada, died Jan. 14, 1946. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Congressional church, Oak Park.

Obituary published in The Chicago Tribune, (Chicago, IL), on Friday, October 10, 1947, page 14.
This label was depicted in the September 1925 journal "Office Appliances", under the following text:
Horder's, Inc., Sell Own Imprint Loose Leaf. The Chicago daily papers for September 1 carried a conspicuous advertisement of Horder's, Inc., featuring a complete line of loose leaf devices under Horder's own brand. The copy announced a "loose leaf service perfect and complete" with devices identified by the Horder label, which is offered on "a guarantee of the last word in modern equipment."
This example is F/VF, OG, NH.

Approximate Image Size: 45 x 49 mm.

After 35+ years I decided to retire from being an active Cinderella Stamp dealer. Most of my working inventory plus backup stock was sold at public auction. However, I have retained some material that I will be offering for sale. In addition, I have some "new" material that was mixed into lots I have bought for my own collections. I will be listing some of the material in my eBay store at fixed prices. I will also be offering some material at auction, either as single items or mixed lots. There will be many bargains available. There will be large and small lots, some containing similar material, some containing a random mixture, and some containing only one or a few items. The condition will be mixed, but none of the lots will be just accumulations of damaged or faulty stamps (unless specifically listed as such).

Items in stockpage or larger lots may be removed and repackaged into glassines to save on shipping costs.

A Note about Poster Stamps and Gum: Because many poster stamp collectors are primarily interested in the image on the stamp, the absence or presence of gum on the back is of little concern. If no mention of gum is made, then there may or may not be gum present. If you are only interested in poster stamps with original gum, please inquire before bidding. Actual condition issues (that are not apparent from the scan) WILL be described.

* A Note about "Stock Images": Occasionally I will have more than one example of an item in inventory. Rather than scan each one individually, I may use the same image for multiple examples of the item. If that is the case, the item supplied will be in substantially the same, or better, condition than the image. Any such items will have the words: "STOCK IMAGE" at the end of the description.
