This auction is for 4 complete place settings of the classic Longchamp Faience Tulip pattern dinnerware. There are 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 soup or cereal bowls, and 4 cups and saucers. All are hand-painted in the colorful multifloral pattern and have a  scalloped rim highlighted with green trim. The bottoms are labeled with the Longchamp France trademark and the "Peint a la main" (i.e., hand-painted) designation. The colors are bright and the details are distinct. Condition is very good with just one small hairline crack on one salad plate. No other chips or cracks. As with pretty much every vintage piece of Faience pottery there is crazing on all surfaces (see pics), but very little discoloration and the set looks great.This will be carefully packed and shipped via USPS, UPS, or free local pickup outside Washington DC.
