If you follow our auctions you know that from time to time we dig up tapes that have been buried in stacks on our shelves. We did a little hunting around last week and came up with a whole bunch of interesting tapes! This is one of them.

OFFICIAL SOUNDS OF THE 41st INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS 

This is a 1/2", 15ips, NAB Stereo Master Tape (ORIGINAL master) for the vinyl record album of the OFFICIAL SOUNDS OF THE 41st INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS. The album was produced by Schulmerich Carillons Inc, who supplied the Americana Mark II Carillon in the Cathedral of SS. Peter Nad Paul for the occasion. The master tape was done by Jack Sky Productions and the actual vinyl record was pressed by CBS Records. The reason all this information is important is that The Boxes have the Jack Sky labels on them, Stickers with Schulmerich "MASTER" on them and other notations conclusively proving the authenticity of the original tapes. Inside the boxes (as shown in the photos) are the data sheets with various instructions for the disk cutter, the format, times, catalog number and other pertinent information about the recording.

The tape used is Scotch 208, which comes in the original Scotch boxes. They will be shipped as shown, on the NAB pancake hub as shown in the pictures. This tape is not subject to "sticky-shed" and will never need to be baked!

In keeping with best studio practices, all tapes are shipped tails out. They need to be rewound BEFORE playing!
