Here is a handcrafted memento from the devastating Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona, June 30th 2013, that took the lives of 19 firefighters, burned  over 100 buildings and destroyed nearly 8,700 acres of beautiful high-desert chaparral. From our property, we have salvaged burned trees and the old barbwire fencing that has been here for many years and had to be replaced because of the fire.  As a reminder, that nature has a mind of its own and to always keep defensible space around us, we have crafted these, "fire leftovers," into 6-7" plaques. Each of these

unique bits of the "Historical Fire," are, "one-of-a-kind," no two are exactly alike. They will vary from one branch to another. Each tree branch slice is branded, "YARNELL HILL FIRE AZ 6-30-13" then tied to a barbwire hoop with hemp twine. The cracks in the wood were caused by the fire's extreme

heat, that dried the tree quickly, a natural part of the burn process. It may

continue to crack over time. A clear finish has been applied to protect the

wood and enhance its natural beauty.  This is real, rusty barbwire and should be handled carefully. Shipping is by USPS in the US only.
