    By attaching it to a compatible Tamron lens and operating it from your personal computer with the dedicated software TAMRON TAP-in Utility (reading: Tamron Tap-in Utility), you can update the firmware of the compatible lens and make various customizations. You will be able to connect to the Internet environment and update the firmware yourself anytime, anywhere.
    In addition, since the settings of the corresponding Tamron lens can be changed, it is possible to customize the lens according to your own usage so that it will be easy for each user to use.

  • Firmware update

    You can update the firmware of the corresponding Tamron lens and the firmware of the TAMRON TAP-in Console itself. When the software is started, the installed Tamron lens and TAMRON TAP-in Console itself are checked for the latest firmware via the Internet, and if the latest firmware is available, it can be updated.

  • Corresponding Tamron lens customization

    The following items can be customized with compatible Tamron lenses. You can write the customization information to a file and save it, or you can call it from the software and reset it with the same customization contents.

    ◇ Focus adjustment
    You can adjust the focus in 3 areas of short distance, medium distance, and long distance for shooting distance, up to 8 areas for focal length, and up to 24 areas for convenience.
    * Since the focal length of a single focus lens is one area, it is possible to customize the shooting distance of three areas. In addition, the content and range that can be adjusted differ depending on the compatible lens.
    ◇ Customization of
    focus limit For models with a focus limit switch, the drive range for autofocus can be adjusted. You can set the near-side restricted position and the far-side restricted position. In the case of a 3-point focus limit switch model, the intermediate position can also be set.
    * Only compatible with models equipped with the focus limit function. In addition, the content and range that can be adjusted differ depending on the compatible lens.
    ◇ VC adjustment ・ ・ ・ The following 3 types of operation modes can be selected for models equipped with the Tamron lens image stabilization mechanism VC (Vibration Compensation).
    -Viewfinder image priority: This mode prioritizes the stability of the viewfinder image.
    -Standard: This mode is set at the time of shipment from the product and balances the stability of the viewfinder image and the image stabilization effect.
    -Correction effect priority: This mode provides a stable image stabilization effect when shooting still images.
    * Only compatible with models equipped with VC. In addition, the content and range that can be adjusted differ depending on the compatible lens.
    ◇ Customization of full-time manual
    For models that support full-time manuals, you can enable / disable full-time manuals and customize the amount of rotation that switches to manual focus by turning the focus ring.
