The Metal models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Each model starts out as metal sheets and you simply pop out the pieces using wire cutters and follow the included directions to assemble your model. No glue or solder needed.

Big Ben is the nickname for the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London though today the name also refers to the clock and the clock tower. The bell weighs almost 14 tons and each clock face is 23 feet in diameter. It became fully operational on September 7th, 1859 and is today one of the most prominent symbols of London standing at 316 feet high. The Brandenburg Gate is the only remaining gate through which Berlin was once entered. It was commissioned by King William II of Prussia as a sign of peace. The design is based upon the gateway to the Acropolis in Athens. Atop the gate is the Quadriga, a chariot drawn by four horses driven by Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory.

The Golden Gate Bridge is an art deco suspension bridge that stretches across San Francisco Bay and is one of the most enduring symbols of the city. Its construction arose from the need to get from San Francisco to Marin and the ferry traffic in San Francisco Bay had become just too heavy. Construction on the Golden Gate Bridge began in 1933, and was completed in 1937.

Lancaster bomber. Is a British four-engine heavy bomber used by the RAF in World War II. It became the most successful night time bomber of the war and flew 156,000 sorties. Black Pearl. There once was a real ship named Black Pearl captained by Henry Morgan, one of the world’s most notorious pirates. The Black Pearl which first sailed in 1669 fought many battles; the most famous of which was an invasion in Panama in 1671. The following year Captain Morgan was put in prison in England. Years later he returned to Jamaica as a judge and governor. Henry Morgan died in England in 1688 after a long illness.

Titanic. The largest ship afloat left Southampton, England, April 10, 1912 on her maiden voyage to New York City. Just five days later at 2:20 am on the morning of April 15th she sank after hitting an iceberg 400 miles off the coast of Nova Scotia. Of the 2,223 people on board, only 710 survived.

Tiger I Tank. This German tank was the most powerful tank in the world when it was introduced in August 1942. The 88mm gun was extremely powerful and the heavy armor made it almost impervious to attack. The success of the Tiger was so profound, that no allied tank dared to engage it in open combat. This psychological fear soon became to be known as "Tigerphobia".

Ford 1965. Ushered in a new class of automobile known as the pony car. Its revolutionary design featuring the long hood and short deck proved wildly popular and according to Ford, 22,000 orders were taken the day it debuted. The Mustang featured a base 170-cubic inch six-cylinder engine with a three-speed floor shift transmission, full wheel covers, bucket seats, carpeting, and a padded dash all for a base retail price of $2,320. An optional 260-cubic inch V-8 engine was also available.

It was the tallest man-made structure in the world until the Chrysler Building was built in 1930.
