Vintage Suitcase Table Nigtstand made with Great Winship Luggage.

Vintage 1920/30s Suitcase by Winship Luggage. Winship Luggage of Utica, NY was one of the first makers of traveling luggage including wardrobe trunks in US from 1880s. The company stopped manufacturing around 1933, hence I'm guessing at vintage 1920s to early 1930s. This generous sized piece, in a rich butterscotch/honey color, makes for great storage in this table. Besides being stylish and so well-made, they have lovely features like elegant fittings inside, including satiny fabric, drapes and snap-closure felt wraps & wood and padded bars.It's hard to describe because I'm not familiar with names of these high end finishings. Exterior is light and richly accented by a thin red and black leather stripes and the leather trim is worn, in my opinion age appropriate, plus enamel manufacture's name plates showing a sailboat.
