The original 1982 soundtrack release for THE THING featured Ennio Morricone’s score for the film, including a wealth of music that ultimately did not get used in the film. For this new release of music from THE THING, the music has been recorded in it’s entirety, to include outtakes and alternate cues not used. Finally John Carpenter’s side score now appears in conjunction with Alan Howarth. The Thing represents a milestone in sci-fi horror today and set the benchmark for practical make up effects which even by modern standards its impossible to better. This limited edition pressing of only 500 copies make it absolutely a must buy.
