New old stock GENUINE FORD THERMOSTAT HOUSING 

FOR THE ESSEX 2.5 & 3.0 V6 ENGINE found on CAPRI / GRANADA / TRANSIT / SCIMITAR

May fit EXECUTIVE / CONSUL / ZEPHYR / ZODIAC but some older versions had a cap built into the top of the housing

may fit the V4 1.7 (1663cc) & V4 2.0 (1996cc) found on Capri / Consul / Corsair / Zephyr / Zodiac. just compare the part number below with yours

The part number on the thermostat is 2720E-8594-A   FORD/FoMoCo

New 'Other' -  new old stock - does not come in a ford box the box is to highlight that it is new and genuine Ford.

I am guessing that these were removed from new complete engines that were dismantled back in the days when they were not needed and unwanted as they have marks where they are bolted on.
