Singer M2100 / M2105 Instruction Manual

36 page manual

This is a laser printed copy of the original text and images.

Booklet format:

The Manual has clear plastic front and back covers for protection. The cover sheet is printed on glossy thick photo stock and an additional blank heavy cover sheet after the last page and before the clear back cover. The sheets are 8 1/2" by 11" and are printed on both sides.

Print format:

Please note that our printers reproduce all colors in the files from the manufacturers but many of the original manuals are black and white only and those can only be reprinted as such. We do not change any content. We remove color background from some of the manual front covers as customers have expressed a desire for us to do so but no print content is changed.

These are not printed on 4 X 6 or 7 X 10 inch but full 8 1/2 by 11" sheets. We do not shrink two pages of manual and double them up on a 8 1/2 by 11" sheet to keep our costs down like other manual printers. A single sheet contains only two pages of manual, one front and one on the back. If the manual is large they consist of two booklets. We also crop out excess white margin area to replicate the largest print and best page coverage.

Some manuals are not properly formatted for print. Where a manual has many pages that are only partly printed we condense print from two or more pages to single pages, re-number the pages and create an index to match. This allows what would be a two volume manual to be reduced to a single volume with NO LOSS or change of information.

About the paper we now use:

We have recently found a source for special publication specific photo paper that the manufacturer claims is 100 brightness. We have tested this paper with our own equipment and found it exceeds the manufacturers specs by a fair margin. The grain is so fine a person immediately feels the difference to the touch. Semi-gloss and the feel of silk. This allows our 2400 dpi class print to be noticed. The paper has high opacity (eliminating bleed through) and removes the need to use the heavier 28# paper. The heavier paper just adds weight and bulk to the manuals and offers no advantage to the final product.

About the print process we use:

Some laser printers can cause premature aging of the paper by using higher heat than necessary to fuse the toner into the paper. We use a toner formulation requiring less heat that allows us to adjust the fuser temperature of the printers to that lower heat setting and eliminate the problem.
