This is an unusual postcard from the Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) in Africa. The front of the card is a beautiful work of art by Christiane Achalme named Casting the Net, which depicts a fisherman fishing with a cast net. The card was posted from neighboring Ghana, and carries a stamp and postmark from there.
The card shows wear from having travelled by mail from Africa to the United States. The corners are heavily bumped and the edges are lightly bumped in a few places. The card is slightly warped, and does not lay completely flat. Please examine the photographs to ascertain condition for yourself. This comes from a smoke-free home.
