Herbert Krenchel studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Denmark in CopenhagenIn 1953 he started his own design company. That same year, he designed for the company Ørskov & Co his well-known bowls Krenit (after his own name), which won a gold medal at the Milan Triennial in 1954 . These bowls, which came in many sizes, were made of millimeter-thin sheet metal, enamelled on the outside in matte black and on the inside in shiny, clear colors.  Each bowl features the makers mark on the bottom: Krenit, Denmark, with logo.  Three bowls are enamelled in pale yellow-green and two in tomato red.  Buyer takes ALL FIVE bowls.

WHEN BUYING USED FURNITURE ITEMS: Please read the description, look at the photos, and ask questions BEFORE bidding.  The items we sell are vintage/antique, and therefore used.  Vintage condition means the item shows wear and age. This may include flaws. Many of the items have minor wear including marks, rubs, or small scratches. If there is more significant damage that we are aware of, we will mention it. We do our best to give an accurate description of the details of the piece including the wear on the piece. If you are looking for something with a "brand new" look, then vintage items may not be for you!
