Underbody Catalytic Converter
- Reduces harmful emissions
- Excessive exhaust flow allows your engine to produce more power.
- Requires fabrication or modifications to be installed into exhaust system
- Cutting and welding may be required; consider hiring a professional installer.
- Ribbed body to minimize expansion and distortion, holding the ceramic catalyst in proper alignment
- Any manufacturer's inlet and outlet joint is the strongest and smoothest flowing inlet and outlet joint.
- Each inlet tailored to the size of the converter body
- The converter body is made of heavy-duty stainless steel.
- For a strong, tight bond, the seams are welded.
- Pre-OBD II, OBD II, and OEM Grade OBD II configurations are all available.
- On vehicles registered outside of California, the converter is warranted against construction defects for 5 years and against emissions failure for 25,000 miles.
- On California-registered vehicles, the converter is warranted for 5 years or 50,000 miles against construction or emissions check failure.
- Proudly made in the USA
Heavy Metal Catalytic Converter (EF0DE7) by MagnaFlow®. Universal Fit is the configuration of the converter. Driver's Side Catalytic Converter Body type: round. There is no air tube. Without an O2 Sensor Port. Catalytic Inlet Diameter: 2.5" Catalytic Outlet Diameter: 2.5" Catalytic Converter 13" total length If your vehicle requires a new catalytic converter, install one that will pass the smog test. This universal fit converter will require some fabrication to install, which will include cutting the exhaust pipe and possibly welding.
MagnaFlow constructs their converters to be long-lasting. The converter body is made of heavy-duty stainless steel for maximum durability. All converters are seam welded close to the converter body for a strong, tight bond, rather than along the edge, which would allow the converter to expand and allow the catalyst to move around. Furthermore, the aluminized steel or stainless steel heat shield forms a rigid wall of heat protection and contributes to the converter's structural stability.
This Catalytic Converter is a universal fit unit that will require some fabrication or modification to the exhaust system to be installed. Because cutting and welding may be required, you may want to consider hiring a professional installer. It is available in OBD II (On-Board Diagnostics, 2nd Generation), Pre-OBD II, and OEM Grade OBD II configurations. Pre-OBD II is for early vehicles (generally 1995 or older) that were equipped with 2-way, 3-way, or 3-way with air injection converters. Two-way converters oxidize harmful hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) with secondary oxygen to produce water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2) (CO2). In addition to the previously described conversion, a 3-way converter reduces nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen (N2). The 3-way with air injection converter operates similarly to a 3-way converter, but with the addition of air pumped into the converter to improve oxidation capabilities.
OBD II converters are three-way converters for vehicles manufactured after 1995. OEM Grade OBD II converters are for vehicles registered outside of California that have California spec emissions. More precious metals are applied to the substrate of these converters to reduce emissions even further. To see if this converter is right for your vehicle, look for the VECI (Vehicle Emissions Control Information) label in the engine compartment and look for the word "California" on the label.
On vehicles registered outside of California, MagnaFlow warrants the Catalytic Converter to be free of manufacturer's defects for 5 years and emissions failure for 25,000 miles. Catalytic converters on California-registered vehicles are covered by a 5-year, 50,000-mile warranty against manufacturer defects and emissions failure.
