Centric® Premium Ceramic Front Disc Brake Pads (F1DAD8) Positive mold technology is used to manufacture these brake pads, which provide even wear characteristics throughout the brake pad's lifetime. The components are scorched to remove impurities in the friction material and improve initial pad/rotor bed-in. These brake pads combine improved braking performance with reduced noise under braking to provide superior stopping power and reliability for passenger cars and light duty trucks without brake squealing, groaning, or vibration. Scorched for easy bed-in, these brake pads provide consistent and reliable braking power right out of the box, as well as a number of other advantages. To begin, the pads are made with OE positive mold technology, which ensures consistent friction material density throughout the pad, resulting in a long wear life. Furthermore, the pads are completely shimmed for superior noise abatement. OE designed pads ensure a proper fit in the caliper, which is critical for extending rotor and pad wear life and ensuring consistent braking power throughout the brake pad's lifetime. These brake pads have shims installed to prevent noise caused by pad vibration and are ready for installation. They also have OE-style gas slots and chamfers to improve braking performance in repeat stop situations. Centric brake pads comply with current brake friction material state legislation such as CASB346 California Brake Friction Legislation, WA6557 Washington Brake Friction Legislation, and others. Centric Premium Ceramic brake pads are 100% asbestos-free to meet all requirements. Centric, as a member of the Brake Manufacturers Council, was involved in the development of the LeafMark and edge code legislation. This code can be found printed on every brake pad manufactured after January 1, 2014, and it indicates the level of compliance with state friction material content legislation.
