Why do Coffee Bags have valves?

Freshly roasted coffee builds up carbon dioxide inside the closed coffee bag. Normally coffee pouches are made with high barrier laminated film therefore the CO2 will remain inside the pouch. The carbon dioxide has to be exhausted out of the pouch so that the coffee inside will stay fresh. The coffee one-way valve exhausts the gas inside out but doesn’t let the oxygen inside the stand-up pouch.

We may ask you to either return the item for a replacement in which case you will be reimbursed for the return postage cost, or ask you to provide a photograph of the damage via email. Once we have inspected the item a replacement will be sent to you at no cost to yourself.

If you change your mind, or the product is not suitable then you can return the item for a refund within 14 days (you must record the postage so that the item can be tracked), however you will be responsible for the costs involved in returning the item to us in good condition.
