Description:
Equisetum is the only living genus in Equisetaceae, a family of ferns that reproduce by spores rather than seeds. It exists all over Europe,
we find it in crops, embankments and roadside, in stony and dry soils. It is a herbaceous, perennial plant with upright stems, without leaves.
Its height reaches 60 cm.
Equisetum acts as an astringent, hemostatic, mild diuretic, and
tissue tonic.
It helps absorb calcium and prevents the deposition of lipids in the arteries. It is used against osteoporosis, disorders of the lungs and kidneys,
inflammation of the urinary system.
Making tea: It is prepared in the form of an infusion. Put 2 teaspoons of dry herb in a cup of boiling water and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
Drink up to 3 times a day.
