Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is a native plant that thrives in tropical America in the Mediterranean, Asia and various parts of Europe.Liquorice is a herbaceous perennial, growing to 1 metre in height, with pinnate leaves about 7–15 cm with 9–17 leaflets.
Licorice is mainly used as a sweetener in sweets and drinks.
Licorice extracts have also been used in herbalism and traditional medicine.
Licorice has anti-rheumatic properties and anti-inflammatory effecs.
It helps wih soothing gastrointestinal problems, it cleanses the respiratory system and reduces stress.
Making Tea: Put 1 teaspoon of the herb in 1 cup. Boil the water with the herb for 5 minutes. Then strain it and drink it.
Drink up to 2 times a day.
