This is a very interesting experimental new modern table centerpiece dish. This piece was experimental in that a Caustic element such as paint thinner or alcohol was added to this piece during the firing process. Forms are created through this process which resemble amoebas or plankton or some underwater algae spreading on a black volcanic rock. This piece wants us to stay in the mind-frame of process leading to process which ultimately would lead us back to life process. Cellular movement, lifeforms, underwater activity. 

This table centerpiece dish is in excellent condition. This whole Piece mirrors the opening of a mighty volcano. From the blackness void deep in the earth comes out living moving molten life. The edges of this piece show an interesting glowing orange which does seem to mirror lava flow or magma. In this instance we can see lava rock shooting from the opening of the volcano
