UK buyers, please note, that as of March 2023, Royal Mail are often taking a lot longer to deliver UK packages which are not parcels - so Large Letters and Letters. Publicly they state that they are not giving parcels priority, but they are being investigated by Ofcom because they are clearly doing just that, with many Large Letters taking a lot longer to be delivered than parcels. Please be aware of this when you buy smaller items and model railway track, except for Hornby R609. Thank you and please accept our apologies for any delay. It is of course outside our control.

Part Number: X1846 - also known as X8202 and M2209 and worm gear L5715.
This is the same motor and worm gear that Hornby use in their motor frame X1847 which they use in 0-6-0 locos shown on Hornby service sheets 139 and 201. It is also used for Thomas the Tank Engine and some of his friends, as shown on service sheet 139. If you need any more information, please let us know. Thank you.
We also offer this motor, separately listed, as a motor, worm and axle gear (X8199) on an axle.

If you need to fit a different worm then you can simply pull the supplied worm off and push your own plastic one on. If however you want to fit a brass worm gear, you will need to press it on.

I have a number of these, all of which were delivered to me in the manufacturer's original storage trays. They are not packeted, but are all brand new, and would have been used in locos.
