Frode Bahnsen graduated at the Art Academy's sculpture school. Employed at the Royal Mint in Copenhagen from 1948, chief medalist from 1968 until his death. His passport was a test coin: 2 crowns with Frederik 9's portrait on the front and richly armed on the back. Tronskiftmønten 1972 and the daily series from 1973 and 10-crown 1979 are Frode Bahnsen's work. Frode Bahnsen's coins bear the abbreviation B - not to be confused with the co-director Peter M. Bjarnø , who used the same initial. The co-director's initial is to the left of the heart, the artist's / mediator's right.
